The Most Reverend Mother Prioress of the Monastery of Salinas de Añana has the honor of announcing that the Lord has deigned to call to Himself the soul of Sister Ascensión Alonso Martinez, 90 years of age, Nun of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem in the Monastery of Salinas, awarded with the Pro Piis meritis Cross of the S.M. Order of Malta. In her seventy years of religious life, she joyfully shared with her sisters the charism of the Order founded by Blessed Gerard nine centuries ago. May she rest in peace.
